Webinar – Reducing regens and fuel related issues

April 27, 2021 @ 11:00 am EDT - 12:00 pm EDT

“Time is money” is an often-used cliché that demands your attention to keep your fleet on the road efficiently and profitably. This session will focus on seasonal fleet operability and performance with an update on biodiesel fuel, the industry’s response to carbon reduction and the Transportation & Climate Initiative. (TCI)

Register today for this Advanced Fuel Solutions Webinar, where you will learn proactive strategies to minimize and eliminate performance issues with combustion, exhaust after treatment Systems” and year-round diesel fuel related issues. This is a roadmap to reduced maintenance costs, prolonged equipment life-expectancy and maximized fleet performance.

While cold weather diesel fuel technologies have been a priority of fleet managers to minimize operational down time due to filtration issues, combustion and after-treatment performance can silently impact fleet maintenance costs, fuel economics and uptime throughout the year.

Winter season protocols include reduced kerosene usage due to cost and loss of BTU’s, lubricity, and related fuel economy loss. Similarly, year-round protocols have advanced to ensure HPCR injection and contaminated are minimized in the maintenance shop. Whether you are running a local service area or long haul, consistent fuel technology protocols and fuel quality go a long way toward reducing the occurrence of vehicles struggling with down-time and accompanying maintenance costs that can be avoided.

Exhaust After Treatment Systems require similar thinking to reduce unscheduled maintenance and keep the fleet in top operating condition. Our session will focus on the cause of regens and how to reduce the occurrence.

As reported by Transport Topics articles in both 2018 and 2019 site that Fleet roadside repairs and costs have risen on Exhaust repairs. Double digit percent increases from one quarter continue to be the leading cause of Exhaust System Repairs. These systems if not operating as intended, the unit can experience reduced power, poor fuel economy, excessive manual regens of the DPF, increased emissions, and or engine shutdown.

Barry Aruda, Northeast Territory Manager for Advanced Fuel Solutions consults with fleets in New England developing fuel quality initiatives, with an eye on the continued evolution of biodiesel blends and their impact on carbon reduction legislation.

Advanced Fuel Solutions (AFS) develops, brands, and markets performance-enhancing fuel additives for wholesalers, dealers, jobbers, and fleets representing virtually every market segment including on-off road diesel and gasoline.
